Effective Date: 07/29/2026
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy applies to the Symptom Log application.
Symptom Log is designed to be a fully offline application. Your personal health data—including the specific symptoms you log (such as headaches or periods) and factors you track (such as sleep or exercise)—remains locally on your device.
When you use Symptom Log, the application processes the following categories of consumer health data locally on your device:
The sole source of consumer health data processed by the application is you, the user. All data is manually entered by you directly into the application. We do not collect health data from external APIs, wearable devices, third-party apps, or data brokers.
Your consumer health data is processed solely for the purpose of providing the service you requested: allowing you to locally log, view, and track your personal health symptoms and trends over time.
None. Because the application operates entirely offline, we do not transmit, share, sell, or disclose your consumer health data to anyone.
None. We do not share your consumer health data with any third parties or affiliates. (Note: We use third-party telemetry tools, such as Expo Observable and Sentry, strictly for anonymized crash reporting and basic app analytics. These tools do not collect your local health data.)
Under applicable state laws, you have the right to access, delete, and withdraw consent regarding your consumer health data.
Because Symptom Log does not store your data on external servers, we cannot fulfill standard server-side data subject requests. You maintain total control over your health data locally.
To access your data: You can view all logged consumer health data directly within the Symptom Log application at any time.
To withdraw consent: Because data collection relies on your manual entry, you may withdraw consent for future collection by simply choosing not to log further data.
To exercise your right to delete your consumer health data: You may permanently delete your data at any time by uninstalling the application from your device. Please note: Because we do not back up your data, deleting the app or using the wipe function permanently destroys the data and it cannot be recovered.
If you contact us to exercise a privacy right and we are unable to fulfill your request (for example, because we cannot access your locally stored data), you may appeal our response by replying to our support email symptomlog.support@gmail.com. If your appeal is unsuccessful, you have the right to raise a concern or lodge a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General at www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint, the Nevada State Attorney General at https://ag.nv.gov/complaints/file_complaint/, or other regulatory authority as applicable.
